So, I had a blast with Julie Friday night. For those of you who don’t know what I am talking about, refer to the post before this one. Anyway, I was there for awhile taking pictures and wearing dresses that were way too big. Then I got to catch up with Julie, which was so great. I love getting to spend time with friends! Here are some of the pictures she took. She is such a great photographer!

Friday night
Plans for tonight: modeling
I am super excited about tonight! My wedding photographer asked for some volunteers for a project she is working on. Basically, I get to have a photo session modeling a wedding dress. I am so excited. Julie Roberts, my wedding photographer, is fabulous! I had so much fun with her, and she made me feel super comfortable. Here are some of my bridal pictures and a couple of engagement pictures. If you are in the middle to east tn area (I bet she would travel for other areas too, but you would have to talk to her…I can’t speak for her) and are planning a wedding, check her out. She is great!
P/S: My seamstress was so mad at me afterwards b/c she had to clean my dress (we were paying her). I think it was totally worth it!
Morning Randomness
Why are there so many shoes laying on the side of the road? And only one from the pair! Do people just get tired of that one shoe and say, “you are unworthy of riding in this car”?
When I was younger I discovered Salisbury Steak. I loved it (only for a short time). It was the meal my mom would cook if it was a special day for me. I really wanted to have it for my birthday party dinner, but my family talked me out of it.
If you are sailing in the Strait of Messina and come upon a castle floating in thin air, you are seeing an optical illusion called a fata morgana, which only occurs where there are alternating warm and cold layers of air rising from the surface. Monday night
I don’t have the pictures just yet from Monday night, but I can tell you what we did! Our community group meets on Monday nights for Bible study and fellowship. There are several people who are moving from our community group. We have two couples moving b/c of medical residency programs and another couple moving to a new ministry. We surprised our leaders (the couple moving to a new ministry) with a cook out. It was a lot of fun. We had a photographer from our church come too and take pictures since so many of us our moving away. I don’t have the pictures from the photographer just yet, but here are some of the people we were celebrating:

We love you all and will miss you dearly!!
Weekend Wedding Pictures
This past weekend I was the assistant coordinator for a BEAUTIFUL wedding. Everything turned out wonderfully, with a few minor hiccups here and there. I love to coordinate weddings! I think they are so much fun and so wonderfully beautiful. Anyway, as I posted last week, I want to take pictures each day (if possible) b/c I think my life is a lot more interesting than I allow myself to believe. So, here is this past weekend’s pictures.
I am off to Asheville for the Randolph/Rideout wedding extravaganza!
Putting together some of the beautiful center pieces for the reception.
And then I found out that when you are coordinating a good sized wedding (250 in attendance) and the ceremony and reception are just about in two different locations, you don’t really have a lot of time to take pictures. Believe me, I had my camera in my pocket all weekend. But I just didn’t have time to even think about taking pictures.
Tonight should be a great night to take pictures. I can’t tell you why just yet b/c it is a surprise for someone. I’ll show you tomorrow though.
Have a great day!
Thursday, 4/17 in pictures
Like I said earlier, I would like to start taking pictures of the things that happen in my day.
Today, Katie Beth came to have lunch with me. We went and ate hot dogs, went to another shop for ice cream and then walked around the block and enjoyed the beautiful weather!
Here are the pictures I took. They are not good quality at all b/c I totally forgot to bring my camera. I had to use my camera phone. Enjoy!
Katie Beth got a Chicago style hot dog. It had cucumbers, tomatoes, relish, pickles and pepper on top of a hot dog in a sesame bun. She really liked it, but the first bite was very warm.
I had an East Tennessee style hot dog. It had mayonnaise, chili, onions, cole slaw on top of a hot dog in a pretzel bun. Yum!
Katie says it looks like New York is behind me.
Then we went to Discovery Ice Cream (my favorite ice cream shop!). Katie Beth had cake batter ice cream (made with real cake batter) in a sugar cone. I had double chocolate fudge ice cream in a cone. Delicious!
The girl at the shop was so sweet too. Probably some of the best customer service I have had in a long time (My husband and I are big advocates/fans of good customer service).
So, that has been part of my day. Tonight I am going to babysit three of my favorite boys! Maybe I’ll show you tomorrow some pictures of them.
How has your day been?
My days in pictures
I really love pictures. I love to look at pictures. I can look at someone else’s or my own pictures over and over. I love them. I will study every detail.
There are so many times that I think that my life is boring, blah, not so great, not anything exciting. Well, I think I am wrong. There are so many things that happen in my life that are so fun. Monday night, I was officially pinned by my Mary Kay director. Tuesday I got to work out the details of a wedding I am helping to coordinate. I love coordinating and planning weddings! I wish I could get married every 5-10 years-to the same man of course! He would hate that though. Last night I ran the boards in one of the radio studios that I work for. Today my good friend Katie Beth is coming to lunch with me. I am taking her to a really great hot dog restaurant that has hot dogs from all over the U.S. (I didn’t know how different the different areas in the U.S. eat their hot dogs) and then I am taking her my favorite ice cream store. (And right now there is a fight going on down the hall!) I will post pictures from lunch later today. I am excited about it!
I also like random, useless facts. One from my brother: Lollipop is the longest word you can type with your right hand (if you are correctly typing, and that might not be the word, he told me a long time ago, I think it is though
).
Anyway, I hope you enjoy your day. Look for the things that make your day amazing that are always there but go unnoticed.

P/S: I had a friend ask me if this was a standard letter I got from the training. No! I mean every bit of what I wrote! I am sincere when I say that this company and their products are wonderful!
Do I really look that bad?
I know people are just trying to be nice and caring, but why do I get the following questions so often?
~”Are you ok today? you look kind of blah.”
~”You look really tired today.”
~”Are you feeling ok?”
Thank you for being nice to me, but know that there are more people than just you asking these questions and further reinforcing that I do not look so great. (BTW, I am kind of tired today and unmotivated to be at work).
Here is a picture of me today…and a picture of what everyone (and I would like it too) wants me to be like all of the time.
Last night I fell asleep praying for this family. I was mostly praising God for the peace He has given to them, like only He can, and for the time the family got to spend with little Audrey. I woke up this morning with a song of praise. I don’t remember which song it was, but I know that I was praising God for this child’s life.
This family lost their little girl tonight after only a little more than two hours of life. They have known it was coming. Their testimony through this time is amazing. They have clung to their Father so tightly and depended on Him. They know that Audrey is with Him now. Please be praying for this family. Pray for strength, healing, love, peace, patience, and so much more to be given to them.
